This project was for a friend who owns a fantastic resturant in Balham, the engineering involved the removal of a simple wall but a very un-reasonable checking engineer turned it into a progressive collapse head ache.
Having gone as far as the Institute of Structural Engineers for confirmation of our possition we did manage to confince the checking engineer with the token offer of a peice of plywood that this peice of legislation did not really apply to the project.
